I intended to go to the Stations of the Cross service at church this morning; but the rain came on as I was pedalling up the hill so I turned back, soaked.
I downloaded this movie last night; so I sat and watched it all through to the end. What an amazing movie! Many times have I attended Easter services; but this portrayal of the Stations of the cross is just amazing.
Never before have I been touched by the suffering endured by Jesus at the hand of Romans and Jewish Soldiers and Temple Guards. Scriptures that came ot mind included:-
Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV)
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
The Hymn 27 (Little Flock Hymnal)
For us, Lord Jesus,thyself hast thou given,
Sufferings un-fathomed for us hast thou know.Now in accord with the homage of heaven,
Rises a song from the hearts of thine own.
The graphical images are so amazing and beyond imagination. They will stay with me and I seek to have a deeper walk with God through this experience.
