Finished Homesitting

On Friday last week we completed our final home sit with Roxy and Kimber and our spell close to the beach. Several mornings we walked on the beach nd swam in the ocean with just a short distance from home which was really enjoyable.
Our five months of Homesitting was an incredible experience including seven different hoes, one hotel for three nights a motel for one night and a caravan park for 15 days.
We had a number of places secured in advance; but two in particular were amazing gifts. We met a lady on the train and explained what we were doing. The following Tuesday she hopped on the train again and asked us to come the following week. This was a period it no plans. A God moment indeed.

Another came through a question at church and filled another significant gap.

the most amazing event was when we determined to pray and wait for God to lead us to a place. This was after Tree of Life retreat weekend. On leaving  our Madelay stay, we went to Cherokee Village where there was one cabin available.  We booked it for Four days, then extended it to sixteen days. During this time Anne had not been well and I caught the infection that dragged on. We found the village people open and friendly some inviting us to their homes to have a look. Max Pengelley was also in the park, and we had delightful times wit him.

One day, I returned from work with a distinct sense of wanting to retire from Scope; but without a secure place to retire too. This led us to inquire about  park home and found one on the market, next door to Max. We made an offer and settled a price within fifteen minutes subject to sale of our place in Cairns. The next  month was a series of negotiations and by 3rd January 17 we had secured the needed funds to conclude the purchase on 19th January and move in on 20th instant.

we recognise the hand of God in all the details and the rich experience gained during our five months of Homesitting.

Blessing nd Peace
